Abstract

640,746. Inflator connectors. PNEUMATIC COMPONENTS, Ltd. April 20, 1948, No. 10840. '[Class 99(i)] A locking lever 25 pivoted on a body 1 containing a valve 7 in axial alignment with a bore adapted to receive a tyre valve stem, has one end 26 formed with threads 29 to mesh with the threads of the valve stem, and the other end 24 carries a block 21 slidable along a surface 32 of the body and urged by a spring 19 to interpose itself in a position between the lever and the body to lock the former. The lever is pivoted about an axis offset from and at right angles to the bore axis. The block may be slid completely free of the surface 32 and may have a wedging action with the latter provided by a notch 31 in the body. The valve. may have a bore 38 emerging into a cross-bore 39 to provide an air passage.
