Abstract
637,988. Multiple fastenings. POWER CENTRE CO., Ltd., and STEVENS, A. H. June 22, 1948, No. 16698. [Class 44] [Also in Group XXXVI] A conduit 10 comprises a trough like base 11 having inwardly turned edges 12 and a cover 13 through which a pin 18 carrying a locking arm 15 extends, rotation of the pin causing rotation of the arm. The arm 15, which is somewhat longer than the width of the cover is spaced from the cover 13 by means of a washer 19 and preferably has obliquely shaped ends 16 and inclined surfaces to engage the underside of the flanges 12 with a cam-like action and draw the .cover down tightly on to the base part when in the locked position. Strips of rubber may be placed between the flanges 12 and cover 13, in which case the ends of the arm 15 may be cranked downwardly to engage correctly beneath the flanges. Two locking arms, disposed at a slight angle to one another, may be mounted on the pin 18.
