Abstract

The lid has a flat recessed top (15) with its sides (12) inclined outwards and downwards and projecting above the top to form a lip (16) all round. The sides are provided with a flanged rim (14) acting as a seating and location on the saucepan. the handle (6) has two arms, the upper arm having a downwards projecting boss (8) at the end and the lower arm (9) projecting downwards with its end (10) underneath and in line with the upper arm. The boss is hooked over the lip on the top of the lid and the lower arm bears against the flanged rim to provide two point contact allowing the handle to be used to position the lid.
