Abstract

637,479. Rick covers. NEALE, G. W. Nov. 20, 1947, No. 30814. [Class 20 (i)] A roofing for ricks comprises a ridge member 10 and a roof 11 built up in sections to any desired length, the roof members engaging each other by interfitting flanges and channels. The edges of the sections of the ridge members 10 are turned under to form channels 12, Fig. 4, which are cut away at one end of each section so that the sections may be engaged in the channels of the adjacent sections. The roof members engage the ridge members by studs 14 and keyhole slots held engaged by a channel section member 18 and a tube 29 passed under the ridge member. Tubes 22 pass through slots in the flanges of the roof members and through gable end members 24. The roof is secured by tie bars 33, 34, 36, 37 and pins 35 hooked to the tie bars and driven into the rick. To allow ventilation the edges of the roof members are held apart by clips. Strips of corrugated iron may be used as roof sections. The roof may be supported on a skeleton structure to form a cover for agricultural implements.
