Abstract

635,083. Hinges. MAKAROFF, S. May 19, 1947, No. 13377. Convention date, March 11, 1942. [Class 65 (ii)] In a hinge for reversible windows of the kind comprising end leaves 1, 3 hinged to a central leaf 2, the leaf 3 is adapted for pivotal attachment to a horizontal edge of the window frame and lies between the window and frame when the window is closed, means being provided for releasably securing the central leaf to the frame. The leaf 3 is pivoted on a stud 8 carried by an attachment plate 7. The leaf 2 has a slot 5 enabling it to be secured or released from the frame by a latch 6 pivoted on a screw passing through the slot and entering the frame.
