Abstract
632,358. Spray carburetters. SOC. ANON. SOLEX. Jan. 16, 1946, No. 1502. Convention date, Feb. 8, 1945. [Class 7 (iii)] Starting mixture is controlled by a valve 14 which also controls the air flowing through a passage 27 and the fuel flowing through a passage 12 from a well 9 connected at 24 to the float chamber which is vented by a passage 8 to the air intake 2. A small orifice 25 prevents siphoning of fuel, and a groove 26 connected either to atmosphere, or by channel 27 27 to the float chamber, or to the chamber 13, prevents suction being transmitted from passage 20 to the channel 12 when the valve 14 is closed, in case this valve is not fluid tight.
