630,589. Hinges. AKTIEBOLAGET ARBOGAMASKINER. June 5, 1947, No. 14907. Convention date, June 28, 1946. [Class 65 (ii)] A door 1 is mounted on its hinge pin 3 by means of helical springs 9 which grip the hinge pin towards their centres while widening towards their ends, the springs being contained in housings 2 formed integrally with the door, and the arrangement being such that the springs tend to maintain the hinge pin concentric with the housings. The hinge pin engages in bores formed in ears 5 on the frame 6. The distance a between the axis of the housing and the face of the door is made greater than the distance b between the axis of the bores and the face of the frame, so that displacement of the hinge pin from its concentric position is necessary to engage it with the bores.
