[Class 81 (ii)] A suspensory belt for a sanitary pad or diaper comprises a main body-encircling portion 11 of elastic material having at the front and rear zones formed in two parts of which one constitutes a continuation of the body-encircling portion whilst the other acts as a suspender portion 12, 14. In a modification, Fig. 5, the belt consists of a continuous web 21 slit at the front and back to provide suspender portions 26. In a further modification the side portions adjacent the hips are of a non-elastic material.
