Abstract
624,582. Recoil-less guns. ZBROJOVKA BRNO, NARODNI PODNIK. March 7, 1947, No. 6512. Convention date, March 14, 1946. [Class 92 (ii)] The barrel 1 of a gun is open at both ends and within it is movably mounted a combustion member 3 having two separate chambers for the reception of two propellant charges 5, 6, the charge 5 serving to act on the projectile 2 and the charge 6 to discharge rearwardly in order to reduce the force of recoil. In the form shown the charge 6 has a primer 7 which is ignited on the closing of an electric circuit a, b, the primer 8 of the charge 5 being ignited when the member 3 has moved forwardly in the barrel to reach a contact 10, thus closing a circuit a, c, d. The charges. may, alternatively, be arranged concentrically, and in a modification it is the projectile which closes the circuit for the primer 8.
