Abstract
624,272. Electric sealing-wax heaters. POSSO, J. H. June 24, 1947, No. 16675. [Class 39(iii)] [Also in Group XV] . An appliance for melting and applying sealing wax or other liquefiable material comprises a pair of arms 10, 20 pivoted together at adjacent ends, the free end of the upper arm 10 having a holder for sealing wax 16 or other liquefiable material and the free end of the lower arm 20 having means for heating the material held by the arm 10. The sealing wax is held by a set-screw 14 in a channel 13. A receptacle 28 for the wax having a pouring spout 27 is mounted on the end of the arm 20 above an electric heating-element. As shown the arms 10, 20 in the form of tubes have handles 11, 21 connected by a spring- steel strip 30 which tends to hold the arms apart. The wax is melted by pressing the arms together so as to bring it into contact with the receptacle 28.
