Abstract
596,505. Toasting-forks. WALLIS, M. F. July 27, 1945, No. 19297. [Class 28 (i)] Bread to be toasted is received in the turnedback tongues h of a bread holder, and is clamped therein by sliding down similar tongues k secured in a slider j. The wire of the tongues k is bent up at p to form a grip for the slider. The slider may be made of bent sheet metal or the whole slider and grip may be made of a single wire bent as in Fig. 9 (not shown). The tongues h may be replaced by a single rectangular loop bent as required to hold the bread, the loop being integral with the wire of the handle. The bread-holding part may be coupled to the handle by a hinged loop joint to allow rotation for toasting the other side of the bread.
