623,502. Door operating-appliances. VAUXHALL MOTORS, Ltd., and ATTWOOD, W. S. May 6, 1947, No. 12167. [Class 65 (i) A door operating device comprises a torsion rod spring which acts through a lever arm 6 so as to tend to open the door 1, the arm and door having cooperative parts which prevent the latter from opening beyond a predetermined position. As shown the spring is integral with the lever arm and is mounted by brackets 8 on the hinge pillar of the door. The end of the lever arm and a bracket 9 are made hookshaped to engage when the door is fully open as shown in chain lines. When in the position shown in dotted lines the spring is fully unstressed.
