Abstract
An electrical resistance element having a low temperature coefficient of resistance, comprises an alloy of the following composition:-Cr 10-30 per cent. Al 1-4 per cent, Fe or Mn 0.3-6 per cent, Nn the remainder, the alloy having been annealed at a temperature of 1500 DEG -2200 DEG F. and heat treated for a period of 1-5 hours at a temperature of 800 DEG F.-1100 DEG F. The alloy may contain deoxidizing and degasifying agents and elements normally found in such alloys, namely, alkaline earth metals, Zr, B, Si, Ti, Th, U, Ta, Nb and rare earth metals.
