617,033. Lawn-mowers. MORTONS MOWERS, Ltd., PIPER, G., and WARD, J. H. Sept. 26, 1946. No. 28744. [Class 6 (ii)] Relates to lawn mowers of the type having a rotary cutter co-operating with a ledger blade. According to the invention, the ledger blade 17 is supported at each end from a cantilever spring 21 anchored to a stationary part of the mower and urging the ledger blade towards the rotary cutter 11 ; and can be adjusted relative to the rotary cutter by two screws 23, engaged in a stationary part of the mower and respectively acting on the ledger blade carrier adjacent the ends thereof. A front roller 13 for adjusting the height of cut is provided.
