611,866. Motor-cycle frames. ETABLISSEMENTS TERROT. May 10, 1946, No. 14247. Convention date, Aug. 16, 1945. [Class 136 (iii)] A frame for motor-cycles comprises in combination two symmetrical lateral elements 1, 1<SP>1</SP>, each constituted by a single tube bent into the required shape to provide an uninterrupted frame member, the lateral elements being joined by welding together their juxtaposed upper portions a, a<SP>1</SP> at c and front portions b, b<SP>1</SP> at d and being attached to the steering head 2 by welding their jointed front portions b, b<SP>1</SP> along a substantial length by welded joints e. The portions a, a<SP>1</SP> and b, b<SP>1</SP> are preferably of elliptical transverse section, while the remainder of the tubes is of circular section. Cross-bracing members 3, 4 are provided to maintain the correct spacing between the lateral elements 1, 1<SP>1</SP>.
