Abstract

510,117. Bicycle frames. HIPPERSON, E. J. July 30, 1938, No. 22721. [Class 136 (iii)] In a bicycle frame of the usual diamond pattern, the member E between the bottom bracket H and the seat pillar bracket C is formed of two parallel tubes arranged side-by-side and secured 'to spaced lugs on these brackets, the brackets being connected by single tubes B, D to the head tube M. The two parallel tubes E are interconnected near the bottom bracket by a cross-tube, which serves to secure the rear mudguard, the chain stays G being correspondingly shortened.
