611,698. Electromagnetic relays. RAMSEY, A. R. J. (Guardian Electric Manufacturing Co.). May 6, 1946, No. 13717. [Class 38 (v)] The contact springs 39, 40, 41 of a relay are mounted on a shaft 22 projecting from the vertical leg 11 of the yoke and extending over the armature 29. The shelf 22 forms part of a non-ferrous member 21 and the armature 29 passes through a slot in the member 21 and pivots about it under the action of a spring 33. Screws 45 project sufficiently to prevent withdrawal of armature. The ends of the coil 14 are connected to terminal elements 18 which are located in cut-away portions of yoke 11, 12.
