[Class 126] A cooking-stove having a basic skeleton frame or chassis and panelling mounted on at least the front of said frame or chassis, such a front panel being furnished with an oven opening and having a box-like oven rigidly fixed to the rear surface thereof, characterized in that said skeleton frame or chassis includes four spaced onepiece vertical corner members rigidly connected together at their lower end parts by rigid connection members, similar rigid connection members extending between the upper end parts of at least three of said corner members, a hot well is disposed within said frame or chassis in superposed relationship with but independently of said oven, said front panel being furnished with an opening registering with the hot well, and said front panel extends from the top to the bottom and wholly across said frame or chassis, the front panel being flanged at its side edges to conceal the front corner members of the frame or chassis, the arrangement being such that the front panel and the box-like oven fixed thereto are withdrawable unitarily from the frame or chassis without disturbing the hot well. Attached to the rigid welded chassis of which corner members 4 and 7, and connection membres 8, 13, 15 and 16 are shown is the front panel 12 covering a gas manifold 17 at its upper edge and having two openings 37 and 39. A flange 38 in the opening 37 co-operates with a U-shaped lining 29 defining the hot well 30 and the box-like oven 44 having an orifice 63 leading to a vertical flue containing the bulb 85a of a liquid type thermostat 84 is screwed to the flange 41 the opening 39. Side panels 18, a back panel 22 and a double-sectional hotplate top 28 overlapping side capping sections 25 complete the body assembly, while U-shaped foot members 2 carrying adjustable feet 66 are bolted to the connection members 8. Extensions of the upright members 7 may carry a plate rack of a stowable type as referred to in Specification 610,716. The space around the box-like oven 44 may be wrapped with lagging in blanket form secured by wire or as blocks or boards.
