610,644. Cramps. WILLETT, V. W., (trading as LUSHINGTON TOOL MANUFACTURING CO.). April 12, 1946, No. 11301. [Class 61 (ii)] A cramp for expanding a vehicle spring comprises a threaded shaft 1 with a plain end 3 and head 2 rotatably mounted in a jaw 4 having a transverse pin 7 driven in behind the head 2 to hold it against the shoulder 6 and a movable jaw 8 traversable along the threaded shaft when the latter is rotated by a tommy-bar 14 or by a key in the end socket 15, the jaws being formed at 9, 11 to hook over a fixed abutment 10 on the vehicle and a scroll end 12 of the spring.
