[Class 145 (ii)] [Also in Group XXIV] A circular saw S and its power plant M are supported in brackets 16 carried by a straddle trunnion 15 mounted on a radial arm 14 of the machine, the latter being reciprocably journalled in a vertically adjustable swivel mounted arm cradle 13. The saw is provided with a guarding hood 20, and two side shields 26, 27, movable with the work-piece and pivoted to allow for tilting of the saw. The front portion of the hood is extended to provide a lateral duct 24 by which a connection with a dust exhausting system may be made. U.S.A. Specification 2,312,356 is referred to.
