Abstract

602,280. Tape dispensers. GOSHERON & CO., Ltd., J., and WOODWARD, W. H. Oct. 6, 1945, No. 26100. [Class 18] A tape dispenser having cutting means 21a is provided with a spring actuated plate 18 which deflects the free end of the tape away from the cutter 21a when the dispenser is not in use. The tape is drawn from a roll 16 carried by a tapered ribbed creel 15 which is freely movable on a spindle 12 supported by a detachable door 11 and one wall of a housing 10. A metering device comprising a roller around which the tape is passed has a cam which actuates a lever to ring a bell when a predetermined length of tape has been unwound.
