Abstract
600,323. Animal traps. CARPENTER, W. M., and CRAWFORD, J. H. May 25, 1945, No. 13108. [Class 5(i)] In an animal trap of the break-back type the base 10 has flanges 11 providing a raised platform 19 with a space beneath. The break-back 12 is retained in its set position by a hooked lug 17 extending upwardly from a lever 18 which acts as a releasing means, pivoted at a point below the hooked lug 17. The spring loading of the break-back does not tend to cause release from the lug. The lever extends below the base and projects through the base where it is secured to the centre of the bait platform 22.
