623,967. Animal traps. BOLTON, F. J. June 9, 1947, No. 15170. [Class 5(i)] A rat-trap comprises a channel-shaped member 1, 2, having a flat weight 18 suspended above its base by means of a longitudinal rod 15 pivoted in the sides of the channel and arranged so that one end 16 of the rod passes through an eye 17 attached to the weight while the other end extends beneath a transverse rod 12, movable to release the weight when an animal steps on a pivoted section 4 of the base. The rod 15 is secured to a transverse rod 14 pivoted in the sides of the channel. One end of the rod 12 is pivoted in a slot 13 and the other end passes beneath a bolt 9 connected by a cord 7 to the pivoted section 4 of the base.
