Abstract

595,877. Perambulator brakes. ASPREY, F. H. Sept. 8, 1945, No. 17400. [Class 103 (i)] A wheel brake for a perambulator comprises a bell-crank mounted on a horizontal pin 1 in a four sided box C secured on the side of the carriage so that a rubber covered stop F on the longer limb D of the bell-crank lever may engage between the spokes of the perambulator wheel. A spring N between the top of the box and the shorter limb of the bell-crank lever biasses the latter to the position in which the stop F engages between the spokes of the wheel and the stop may be moved from this position by the operation of a lever on the perambulator handle connected through a Bowden cable A, B to the bell-crank lever.
