Abstract

595,282. Washing &c. boilers. MANT, L. W. April 5, 1946, No. 9914/45. [Class 64 (i)] Means for improving liquid circulation in a boiler 1 comprise a bonnet 2 to which is connected a pipe 5, the bonnet being provided with flutings 2a forming passages for entry of liquid into the chamber 3 between the bonnet and the floor 1a of the boiler. The pipe 5 may carry a T-branch 6 at its upper end. When the boiler is initially designed to use the device, the riser pipe may be formed as an integral part of the boiler wall. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 250,483. [Class 64 (i)], and 393,705.
