Abstract

595,190. Gauge blocks. AKTIEBOLAGET SVENSKA KULLAGERFABRIKEN. June 30, 1944, No. 12519. Convention date, July 1, 1943. [Class 106 (ii)] An adjustable gauge block comprises two wedge-shaped members 2, 3, the latter of which is secured by spring-pressed screws 6 to a member 1 having parallel faces. Means for adjusting the block comprises a member 13, which is placed within and beneath a member 12 to which is then secured a plate 14. The ends of the wedge 2 lie opposite the prongs 15 and the ends of the members 1, 3 lie opposite the prongs 16, so that operation of a screw 18, by displacing the members 12, 13 relatively one to the other, drives the wedge 2 one way or the other to increase or decrease the size of the block which can be measured by a dial gauge.
