585,682. Tyre valves. DUNLOP RUBBER AUSTRALIA, Ltd. March 3, 1944, No. 3958. Convention date, Feb. 17, 1943. [Class 135] A valve for tyres of the type having inner tubes with two chambers comprises a housing having a flange 13 bonded to rubber base 14 interposed between the wall 9 of the inner chamber and the wall 10 of the outer chamber. The housing is fitted with a valve insert 23 and a further housing 15, carrying another valve insert 24, is screwed to internal threads on the housing 13. A passage 18 opens into the inner chamber and a passage 30 leads from the space between the valve inserts to a passage 31 in the rubber base 14 leading to the outer chamber. The valve insert 23 prevents flow from the inner to the outer chambers and both chambers can be deflated by depressing the valve 24 when the stem 32 abuts the stem 33 of the valve insert 23.
