Abstract

579,087. Golf-bag supports. STABLEFORD, J. L. April 21 1944, No. 7462. [Class 132 (ii)] [Also in Group XIV] A golf-bag support con sists of a pair of legs 9 connected by a U-shaped spring 11 hinged at 15 to a clamp 2 by which the legs are secured to the golf-bag. The spring 11 tends to separate the legs which, after being pressed together to release them from grooves 18, engage a pair of outwardly diverging ramps 6 so that the outward pressure of the legs upon the ramps causes the legs to swing away from the bag. A bridge 8, between the ramps, limits the outward movement of the legs. The support may be applied to other articles.
