[Class 80 (ii)] In a chainshifting mechanism for cycles and the like in which jockey sprocket A is carried on a slide B which is moved up and down an inclined guide C so that the sprocket occupies the same relative position to each of the different size sprockets 1, 2 or 3 of the wheel, the guide C forms part of a bracket D that can be turned about a vertical axis on a clip G secured to the frame and positively fixed by means of serrations E, F and a screw H in any position. A tensioning pulley M is carried by an arm L pivoted about the axle b of the sprocket A and tensioned by a spring N in a telescopic dust-cover O. The slide B is moved against this spring tension by a cranked lever k from a cable k<3> which may be operated by a control lever in conjunction with a plate or bracket as described in Specification 571,608.
