[Class 122 (iii)] In a radial cylinder engine, unbalanced forces rotating at twice engine speed, caused by the connections between the pistons and crankshaft, are counterbalanced by weights k carried on shafts h disposed be - tween the cylinders and driven at twice engine speed. In three- and five-cylinder engines the shafts are rotated relatively to the cranks in the opposite and same directions respectively.
