562,729. Gas-blast switches. AKT,- GES. BROWN, BOVERI, & CIE. March 26, 1943, No. 4953. Convention date, May 6, 1942. [Class 38 (v)] A gas-blast circuit-breaker installation with multi-break circuit-breaker units a, b connected in series, has at least one unit a bridged over by a resistance c which reduces the current flowing over the other, and subsequently - opening, unit b, the voltage-distribution over the break-points of the latter being rendered uniform by means of condensers d1 ... d3 or other devices. The units may be mounted on a common insulator e or on separate insulators, and the resistance may be adapted for potential-equalizing and mounted on, or separately from, the circuit-breaker. Specification 530,971 is referred to.
