[Class 60] In a machine for grinding screw threads comprising a master screw by which the work, mounted between centres on a saddle, is traversed across the face of a grinding wheel, the master screw is mounted so as to swivel, whereby the end in service can be changed. The work is mounted between centres a, b mounted on a slide e, the face plate a<1> being driven from the shaft n the end of which is connected to.the master screw o. The latter engages a nut p held in a clamp q having a stem which can swivel in a slide s. Both ends of the screw are adapted to engage the shaft n.
