Abstract

544,467. Snap-fasteners; cufflinks. UNITEDCARR FASTENER CORPORATION. Feb. 5, 1941, No. 1538. Convention date, March 12, 1940. [Class 44] [Also in Group VII] A fastener for shirt cuffs comprises a snap 'fastener socket 5 of known form permanently secured to one part 4 of the cuff and a cooperating stud member detachably held in a buttonhole on the other cuff part 3. The stud has an ornamental head 12 secured by cap 13 to a flange 8 on a hollow stem member 10 provided with a reduced extension 11 secured by upsetting in the stud-member proper 19, the latter having a flange 18 spaced from the flange 8. Flange 18 is passed through the buttonhole so that the edge of the hole is received between flanges 8, 18 as shown.
