Abstract

545,892. Press-button fasteners. UNITEDCARR FASTENER CORPORATION. April 9, 1941, No. 4725. Convention date, April 30, 1941. [Class 44] A one-piece socket member of a press-button fastener is provided with a substantially cylindrical stud-receiving barrel portion 10 divided into two parts by a pair of diametrically disposed slots 7, the stud-receiving aperture 7a being of oval form. The barrel portion merges into an outward reversely disposed wall 11 of conical form provided with a curled edge '13 within which the attaching prongs 18 of a securing plate 17 are upset, the material 2 being held between plate 17 and edge 13. The stud member 3 secured to material 4 has a bulbous head 5 of known form.
