Abstract

540,189. Reflectors. VERITYS, Ltd., and FORTH, J. W. June 27, 1940, No. 10941. [Class 75 (ii)] The opening 13 in the neck or crown of a reflector is formed with two diametrically opposite gaps 14 enabling the reflector to be threaded over the arms 2, 3 of a spider forming part of a threaded sleeve 6 suspended by a wiring tube or hook, two diametrically opposite vertically depending flanges 15 adapted to seat on stepped portions 5 of the arms 2, 3 when the reflector is turned on the spider, and two pairs of vertically depending stop flanges 16, 17 deeper than the flanges 15 preventing displacement of the reflector when it is secured by cap 8 screwing on the sleeve 6. The upper surface of the reflector crown may be provided with upstanding projections as described in Specification 539,876, so that a ventilation space is provided between the reflector and cap 8.
