537,196. Vehicle brakes. CHESTON, A. S., and CORBER, F. H. March 13, 1940, No. 4667. [Class 103 (i)] A brake for invalid chairs, perambulators or other vehicles comprises a transverse rigid bar 4 mounted in guide slots 6 and moved bodily to engage wheels at opposite sides of the vehicle simultaneously. As shown in Fig. 1 bars 4 applied to two pairs of wheels are connected by toggle members 8, 9 operated by means of either side levers 5 attached to the members 9.
