300,866. Tozzi, D. B. March 28, 1928. Stands or supports.-In jacking-apparatus of the type having a foot 8 connected by toggle levers with nuts 3 on a spindle 2 having oppositely-threaded ends, a base plate 1 is provided for the spindle and bevel wheels 14, 15 are provided for actuating the spindle. A flexible cover 9 protects the centre part of the spindle. The wheel 14 is actuated by means of a rod passing through.its cenfre 14'. The plate 1 is secured to the axle a by shackles 21.
