Abstract
530,245. Plug-cocks. HOLTAM, A. G. May 4, 1939, Nos. 13366, 21792 and 21793. [Class 135] A gas service connection cock has the cock plug housed in a casing completely sealed by imperforate closure members except for its main and service connections. The plug g is held to its seat by a spring m arranged between the larger end of the plug and a cover plate j pressed by screws k against a gasket e in the floor of a shallow recess in the casing. A semicircular projection n on the plug co-operates with a quadrantal projection o on the cover to limit the movement of the plug. An actuating projection g<SP>1</SP> on the plug is normally housed in a recess in a closure plug i screwed into the casing. The plug may be fitted with lubricating grooves p and the plug i may be provided with a lubricating nipple fitted with a non-return valve.
