Abstract

530,196. Fuel-injection valves. BOSCH GES., R. June 30, 1939, No. 19037. Convention date, July 7, 1938. [Class 7 (iii)] Injection valves of the type opening in the direction of injection against the action of a spring are prevented from falling into the combustion chamber in case of breakage by arranging the smallest cross-section 4 of the valve stem between the valve guide 1 and the spring collar 7, and fitting a ring 11 of larger diameter upon the stem between the part 4 and the valve guide, so that breakage will occur at the part 4 and the ring 11 will prevent the valve from falling into the cylinder. The valve guide is formed with a conical bore 14 into which the ring 11 engages in the event of breakage. The spring collar 7 is formed with a sleeve 7a which embraces the ring 11.
