Abstract

529,978. Lamp-holders. WARD & GOLDSTONE, Ltd., and GOLDSTONE, S. May 30, 1939, No. 15804. [Class 38 (i)] A holder for miniature screw lamps is moulded from insulating material in two parts, a socket a to receive the lamp and a cap c to cover the outer ends of the contacts d, e that are inserted in holes in the base b of the socket a. The centre contact may be a strip d, Fig. 1, running across the socket with its ends formed into a socket d<1> which is deformed to grip a wire, and a tonge d that is deformed to secure the contact in place. The other contact strip e has a part e<1> bent to fit the screw threaded socket a and a tongue at the other end that is deformed to secure the contact. A projection e<3> at one side is rolled to receive a wire. In a modification, the centre contact is a hollow rivet g, Fig. 4, and the other contact has one end h<2> rolled to receive the wire, the other end fitting into the socket a.
