Abstract

529,864. Valve amplifying circuits. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO., Ltd., TURNER, H. C., and TOMLIN, G. M. June 9, 1939, No. 16958. [Class 40 (v)] Variations in the anode current of a screenedgrid valve 1 due to changes in the temperature of the cathode 5 are minimised by connecting the screened grid 9 across a resistance 14 in the anode-cathode circuit of a second valve 2 which has similar temperature-time-constants and is subject to the same heating variations as the valve 1. The anodes 11, 12 are connected to the same or separate high tension source. The valve 1 may be one of a series of direct current amplifiers the resulting output being passed to the next stage through a lead 15.
