Abstract

527,189. Drawing-apparatus for spinning-machines. BATA AKCIOVA SPOLECNOST. April 3, 1939, No. 10363. Convention date, April 1, 1938. [Class 120 (ii)] Drawing means for spinning-machines have an independent roller 1 for pressing each roving against the endless belt conveyer driven by the lower feeding roller. Two adjacent pressure rollers are supported by bearings 3 carried by a horizontal carrier 2 which is itself supported in a groove 11 in a block 7 on the guiding rod 9 arranged between two pairs of drawing appliances. The block 7 rests against the block 8, and the rollers 1 can swing about the rod 9, and also about the longitudinal axis of the carrier 2. An arm 5 is attached to the centre of the carrier 2 and carries an adjustable regulating weight 6. This arrangement permits the rollers to allow for variations in the thickness of the rovings and permits modification of the pressure while the machine is running.
