Abstract

523,741. Meshing-screw compressors. AKTIEBOLAGET MILO. Jan. 13, 1939, No. 1211. Convention date, Jan. 13, 1938. [Class 110 (ii)] A rotor for a screw compressor is built up of a number of plates or parts and secured to a hollow tube 5 by portions of the plates engaging helical keyways 6. The plates may be die cast or stamped, or bent and welded together and to the tube. The assembled plates may be ground or milled to give a smooth finish to the rotor. Some of the plates are made solid to give stiffness to the rotor. The plates may be coupled together by dovetails and grooves arranged transversely.
