Abstract
520,551. Dry Shavers. REMINGTON RAND, Inc. Oct. 25, 1938. No. 30856. Convention date, Nov. 17, 1937. Addition to 520,538. [Class 131]. In a dry shaver having an outer cutter 15 enclosing a reciprocating inner cutter 16, means are provided for giving the cutter assembly a limited' outward movement so as to disengage the inner cutter from its driving-lever 18 and spring-pressed pins 20 so that the inner cutter may be removed without detaching the outer cutter from the handle. The limited movement takes place in a casing groove 14 when a thumb screw 13 is turned out of engagement with a depression 30 in the member 15, springs 22 forcing the cutter assembly upwards until a stop 29 engages the thumb screw. A lug 23 engages a groove 27 to secure proper alignment.
