511,936. Hydraulic power transmitters. AKTIEBOLAGET LJUNGSTROMS ANGTURBIN. July 30, 1937, No. 214/39. Convention date, Aug. 1, 1936. Divided out of 504,914. Drawings to Specification. [Class 69 (ii)] A multi-stage hydraulic torque converter having the working liquid circulating in a closed circuit includes a pump rotor, a turbine blade ring adapted to rotate in the same direction as the pump rotor, a second turbine blade ring adapted to rotate in the opposite direction, a guide blade ring rigidly or releasably connected to a stationary part of the converter, and means to vary the number of operative turbine blade rings in the liquid circuit. The particular embodiments are identical with those described in Specification 504,914 with reference to Figs. 1, 1A, 3, 4 and 5 thereof.
