[Class 79 (i)] Each shoe 10 of an endless track is secured to a link 1 by a bolt 8 the head 8a of which is seated in a bent stamping 7 forming part of the track engaged by guiding rollers G. The track can bend in either direction but its curvature in one direction is limited by the engagement of each shoe with the next. In the construction shown each link comprises four members I interleaved with those of the next link to which it is connected by a pivot pin 2, a central distance piece (not shown) being also mounted on the pin. Axial move- . ment of the pin is prevented by means of a stirrup piece 6 which encloses the ends of the pin. The stamping 7 rests in recesses 1a in the links so that it fits flush with the tops of the links to form a flat roller-engaging surface. The links are further recessed at 1b to receive the sunk part of the stamping, in which rests the bolt head. The bolt passes through the stamping 7, the stirrup 6 and a plate 9 having claws 9<1> to grip the rubber or like shoe 10 and flanges 9a to engage the stamping. A reinforcing plate 13 is embedded in the shoe. The track may be used instead of wheels on skates. The Specification as open to, inspection under Sect. 91 comprises also the construction shown in Fig. 5 (Cancelled) in which there are two bolts 8 and driving teeth 15 are provided. The stamping 7 in this construction fits against the sides of the stirrup piece 6. The Specification also states that the invention is applicable to conveyers and to water and land-andwater vehicles. This subject-matter does not. appear in the Specification as accepted.
