Abstract
500,018. Closure caps for collapsable tubes. LUCKEL, W. June 25, 1938, No. 18933. Convention date, June 25, 1937. [Class 125 (iii)] A closure cap for collapsable tubes or the like comprises a lower sleeve portion 1 screwed on to.the threaded neck of the tube 15, Fig. 1, and a cover 6 pivotally engaged with the part 1 when this part is screwed on to the neck of the tube, but automatically released therefrom by unscrewing the part 1. The sleeve 1 is formed with a conical flange or skirt 16 and with integral lugs 4, 5 slotted at 7, 8, Fig. 4, to receive arms 9 projecting from the end 19 of the cover 6, Fig. 2. The cover is guided into the closed position by the lugs 4, 5 and is secured therein by a nose 10 engaging in a recess 11. The closure may be pressed from artificial material.
