Abstract

497,411. Pile fabrics. LORTHIOISLEURENT & FILS. March 10, 1937, No. 7024. Void. Convention date, March 12, 1936. [Class 142 (iv)] Pile rugs and carpets have in addition to the usual pile warps A, binding warps C, D pulling warps B, and wefts 1, 2, 4, 5, &c. a fifth warp E forming with wefts 1, 3, 5, 7 &c. a complementary fabric. This is incorporated with the carpet &c. and take the place of the usual hair fabric interposed between the carpet and the floor. In a modification, two extra warps E, F, Fig. 2, are used. A dropbox loom may be used two wefts of different nature or size being inserted, one for the carpet proper, and the other for the complementary fabric.
