Abstract

491,204. Vehicle wheels. KRONPRINZ AKT. - GES. FUR METALLINDUSTRIE, and LUDWIG, W. March 4, 1938, No. 6881. [Class 144 (ii)] A wheel-rim e comprises a fixed tyre-retaining flange d and a detachable flange h secured by an intermediate divided ring g which is slidably fitted on the rim-base and has a coned portion adapted to be jammed (on inflation of the tyre) between the flange h and the coned edge f of the rim. Fig. 2 shows a modified form of detachable flange, and a pin k adapted to pass loosely through the ring g and the edge of the wheel-disc c for holding the parts assembled without the inflated tyre.
