Tyre attachments to rims.-A cast or stamped aluminium alloy wheel is fitted with a detachable flange 3 secured by bolts 4, the rim-bed being formed wholly on the fixed part 1. The flange 3 is formed of steel and is of greater overall diameter 'than the fixed flange so as to take the road-shock in case of tyre-failure. The Specification, as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) comprises also the modification shown in Fig. 3 (Cancelled), in which the, detachable rim-part 17 carries half the rim-bed and is formed with a radial web 10, and bosses 12 to receive the bolts 13. A tyre-security ring 14 may be clamped between the rim parts, as shown; or the ring 14 may be drawn down by radial bolts. The ring 14 may be formed in one piece or in segments. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
